As nurses, when we hear “I can’t breathe,” experience and intuition prompt us to drop whatever it is we are doing and quickly respond to a rescue situation. This program was created under the Obama Administration in 2012 that allowed nearly 5,000 young Filipinos – along with 800,000 other individuals – to receive work permits and to be protected from deportation. Support for Nurse Alex WubbelsThe 91¶¶Òõ (91¶¶Òõ) joins the American Nurses Association (ANA), the Utah Nurses Association (UNA) and registered nurses across the country in voicing against the atrocity over the treatment of a registered nurse in Utah who was handcuffed and arrested by a police officer for following her oath, the hospital's policy and the US Constitution. Two Fellows will be selected and each awardee will receive $1000 to support a health/nursing research activity or related scholarly project that has implication in nursing practice, education, scholarship, administration and reasearch.
